Organising A Child’s Birthday Slumber Party
Slumber parties are popular among little girls who like all their friends to stay over for their birthday. There can be a lot of pressure on parents to organise the best party for their daughter. This anxiety can often come from a healthy competition between parents to organise the best party at school, so the children talk about it for weeks to come. There is time and effort that goes into organising a fun girl’s slumber party, but it will be worth it when your daughter tells you it was the best night ever.
Making the party fancy dress is a good idea for a sleepover. A pink velour tracksuit is fun when everyone is dressed up the same, or make it princess themed. Adding a bit of fun to what the children wear can also take the pressure off parents finding something comfortable and smart for their children to wear.
Food always plays a major role in any child’s party. Take into account any allergies or dietary requirements that any of the children have. Then you are free to go wild with the spread you put on for the children. Try to keep it to finger food so you don’t need knives and forks and plastic plates can be used.
Try to make sausage rolls, pizza, cakes and sweets, all of which are children’s favourites. You can provide some healthy alternatives too like fruit pieces and vegetables but they might not get eaten as quickly as the other things.
Ask that children bring their own sleeping bag or duvet if you do not have enough for all the guests. If you make sleeping as comfy as possible, you will be more likely to wake up to happy guests.
Your daughter will be happy with her birthday slumber party if you follow this advise.
