Becoming a Successful Manager
Getting the Job
Many employees aspire to get a job as a manager. Managers generally tend to make more money than entry-level employees and are less expendable to a company because of their increased responsibility. That being said, managers also carry the burden of an entire team’s performance.
Being a great manager takes a lot more than simply showing up to work each day. Extra effort is what sets a great management team apart from a good one. Employees often aspire to management positions with a mind to make changes, but they forget those desires once they land the job.
A great manager is recognised by the success of those employees that they manage. While employees can claim responsibility for an impressive individual performance, superior work from a manager makes the entire team more productive. Managers have to take special interest in their teams to accomplish this.
